Boomerang by Temba Magorimbo is based in Africa and is one those few novels that I have read that allows me to explore the enormous continent. The novel is a unique in many ways with a good start that allows the reader like myself to indulge in it from page one.

Science Fiction and Fantasy Books to Read in October 2017

October is here and only few weeks are left to complete or compete anymore in your reading challenges. By the way I did complete my Goodreads challenge for 2017 of reading 200 books. (More on this later.)

Sometimes as a reader you know that you are going to like a book even when you are judging this statement just by looking at the cover and reading the blurb. My story with Despite Stolen Dreams written by Anita Krishan is similar. I loved the cover and tiny fantasies started appearing in my head as if to predict what was written inside these 300 pages.

Social Media for Book Bloggers

When it comes to promoting my blog, I find social media platforms beneficial. Though, there are so many social media platforms that it becomes overwhelming for me at times. I lose my focus, and a few times it had led to blogging slump.

I advise you to not to lose your focus and introduce yourself into a slump. For a start, concentrate on a number of sites that you think will be beneficial for your blog promotion and long term networking. This way you can focus on growing your network of followers on those particular platforms. Of course, you don’y have to pick handful of social media sites. If you love social media, and want to use all of them, go ahead and do that! Personally, for me, I feel that it’s easier and more beneficial to start with a small number.
